There isn’t a difference. Adult ebikes and electric bikes refer to the same motor-powered vehicle. The term “ebike” is just a shortened version of “electric bike.”
Do electric bikes charge when you pedal?
At Radio Flyer, our electric bikes for adults do not charge while you pedal. UL-certified lithium-ion batteries can be charged before or after use.
Is it harder to pedal an electric bike?
Because electric bikes are heavier than regular bicycles, there can be a slight difference in pedaling one versus the other. However, each of our Radio Flyer ebikes features a thumb throttle that comes with 5 different levels of pedal assist, meaning you can pedal easier with the support of your ebike’s motor.
Do electric bikes work without pedaling?
Yes, our electric bikes can be used without the need for pedaling. Simply raise the thumb throttle up to max speed and ride without having to pedal. You’ll really feel like you’re flying!
How many mph does an electric bike go?
Our Class 2 adult ebikes can reach a max speed of up to 20 MPH in throttle-only mode. However, riders can use the thumb throttle to set a range of speeds lower than 20 MPH in pedal-assist mode.
How do I stop on an electric bike?
At Radio Flyer, safety is a top priority when it comes to riding a family ebike. Our hydraulic braking system requires minimal pressure to engage, and you can achieve maximum stopping power easily. When the brake is engaged, an automatic motor cutoff switch safely turns off the motor.
